Our Network
It’s not what you know, it’s who you know. Having a network is essential to companies and particularly for start-ups. The Nyenrode network is an excellent tool for accelerating your company during the start-up phase. The VCV-alumni secretariat is available to help the NBA companies with finding the right business contacts from the alumni network. In addition, the university itself also has a powerful network of companies, investors and academic staff.

 

Meetings are organized on a regular basis in which members of the business community, the university, students, and entrepreneurs can get together and exchange ideas. The NBA also collaborates with external partners such as Syntens and Utrechts Innovatie Platform. The existing companies in the NBA also actively exchange knowledge with new starters thus providing free advice that will help prevent many start-up mistakes.

 

Coaching Facilities
There is no substitute for experience, and it is difficult to learn the value of knowledge and experience which are acquired over an extended period of time. Entrepreneurs who start a business for the very first time are not entirely sure which path to choose to make the company a success.

 
An experienced advisor can help an entrepreneur choose the right path. Many entrepreneurs with good ideas lack the relevant management skills. Others are able to acquire these skills naturally. A suitable business mentor can make the difference between success and failure, particularly during the start-up phase. The NBA works closely together with the VCV alumni association. It looks for the right business mentor within this extensive network.
