In the ‘Different Economics’ project, Nyenrode’s Professor of Business Studies René Tissen works with two independent, external researchers, Erik Verbrugh and Ap Hamerpagt, to develop new insights regarding the European debt crisis and how to resolve it. Their starting premise is that the crisis can only be dealt with through far-reaching, but socially desirable, structural changes.

Seminar on Sustainability in the Financial Sector with Princess MáximaOn November 24th, the seminar “Sustainability in the Financial Sector. Are we ready?” was held at Nyenrode. The seminar is one of Nyenrode’s 65th anniversary events that are being organized during the year. The conference was co-organized by the Nyenrode Corporate Governance Institute that is led by Prof. Dr. Mijntje Lückerath-Rovers. A very special guest to the seminar was HRH Princess Máxima who lectured about inclusive finance.

In The Public Interest: Public Auditing & Accounting
On 27 May 2011, Martin Dees accepted the Chair of Professor of Public Auditing & Accounting at Nyenrode with the delivery of his inaugural lecture entitled “The Public Sector Auditor – The Linking Pin in Public Administration”.
