ERP increases market value but not productivity

All over the world, millions of people employed by prominent companies and organizations use large integrated computer systems at work. These systems are known as ERP systems (Enterprise Resource Planning). Over the past few decades, companies have invested billions in these systems. For her dissertation, Lineke Sneller, researcher at the Nyenrode School of Accountancy & Controlling, studied whether or not these investments in integrated computer systems actually live up to companies’ expectations.

On 23 June, during a lunch lecture organized by Nyenrode, the Netherlands Institute Of International Relations Clingendael and the Ministery of Foreign Affairs, the renowned Indian historian Ramachandra Guha talked about his book ‘India after Gandhi’. He claimed that there are ten reasons why India, despite its enormous economic growth, will not become a superpower.
Taking Offshoring to The Max

On 10 May, Nyenrode in collaboration with the Dutch Ministery of Economic Affairs, the World Bank, Tata Consultancy Services and Allen & Overy organized the seminar ”Taking Offshoring to The Max”. Renowned industry practitioners, academic experts, and policy makers discussed the ins and outs of offshoring and outsourcing and provided tools for managing activities that are relocated to foreign locations.
