Dr. Ivo de Loo

Ivo De Loo is Associate Professor of Methods and Methodology at Nyenrode Business University. His primary research interests are the roles and identity of management accountants, and research methodology in general, with particular reference to mixed methods research. He currently works together with Professor Alan Lowe of the Aston Business School in Birmingham (United Kingdom) on the latter subject.

Ivo has over 15 years of experience in university education. He was also co-editor of a special issue of Action Learning: Research and Practice on lean thinking and action learning in 2007, and won the Elsevier Science Prize in 1999 for best paper in the Technological Forecasting and Social Change journal and the Emerald best paper award in 2007 in the Qualitative.

Before joining these institutes, Ivo was a statistical researcher at Statistics Netherlands and MERIT (currently UNU-MERIT) Maastricht. He obtained his Master of Science degree in Econometrics at Maastricht University and holds a PhD-degree from the Open University of the Netherlands.
