Leen Paape is Dean of Degree Programs & Research and also member of the Executive Board of Nyenrode Business Universiteit, based at Breukelen, the Netherlands. He is a sought after chairman for conferences and seminars and a speaker at conferences both nationally and internationally. He published many articles and a few books on governance, auditing and risk management.

Leen has been a Partner in the risk management advisory practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) for 10 years. He has led many assignments involving many leading companies such as ABN AMRO, Nike, Royal Dutch Shell, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Royal Ahold, Aegon, Benckiser, Euronext, Flint Group, Glaxo Smith Kline, Inbev, ING, Numico, Provimi, Schiphol Airport, KPN, Dutch Telecom, RABO, and many others. He has been member of the Global Internal Audit Leadership Team and chaired the Basel II team in the Netherlands. Leen is a member of the Advisory Panel for the MSc program at Cass Business School in London and a member of the Board of Trustees of the IIA Research Foundation.

Prior to joining PwC, Leen had 9 years experience within KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.
He was educated at the Royal Military Academy at Breda and served in the Army and the Air Force.
