Rob Blomme is an Associate Professor of Management and Organization at Nyenrode Business Universiteit, and Chairman of the Center for Leadership and Personal Development. His teaching covers a wide range of courses in Organizational Behavior, Organizational Dynamics, Change Management and Organizational and Team Learning. Apart from teaching, he carries out research into organizational development and change from both the positivist and constructionist perspectives.
Rob also holds the Chair in HRM at the Hotelschool The Hague, where his main area of research is the labor market and HRM-related issues in the hospitality industry. Prior to this he worked as a manager and professional in several disciplines at DAF, KPN, SPT, Volker Wessels Stevin and Welten.
He has published a book entitled ‘Alignment: A Study In Organizing Processes And Alignment Between Individual And Organizational Competencies’. His main areas of interest include 'organization and group development processes' from a psychodynamic and constructionist point of view.
He received his PhD from the Universiteit Utrecht in Organizational Psychology and Sociology. He also holds an MSc in Business Administration from the Open University and a Master’s Degree in Learning Psychology from the Universiteit Tilburg.
