EU to benefit from global sourcing and immigration >>
In times of economic turmoil, such as the current financial crisis, there is a natural propensity to impose restrictions on immigration and global sourcing. Fear of job losses is generally the main driver of this process. But governments should resist tendencies of protectionism and instead invest in attracting global talent and businesses by making their country attractive. This is argued by Dr. Désirée van Gorp, Associate Professor of International Business at Nyenrode, and Cristian S. Avendaño Canto, researcher at the Nyenrode Institute for International Business and lawyer at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek.
