On 23 June, during a lunch lecture organized by Nyenrode, the Netherlands Institute Of International Relations Clingendael and the Ministery of Foreign Affairs, the renowned Indian historian Ramachandra Guha talked about his book ‘India after Gandhi’. He claimed that there are ten reasons why India, despite its enormous economic growth, will not become a superpower.

India Innovation Seminar and GSIA 2008 Ceremony
On 7 April the India Innovation Seminar was held at Nyenrode. Dr. Subramaniam Ramadorai, CEO and MD of Tata Consultancy Services, was the chief guest and keynote speaker of the event. At the event he was conferred with the title “Professor of Business Services”. The seminar was followed by the Global Sourcing Innovation Award 2008 (GSIA 2008) ceremony. The GSIA 2008 was awarded to Vassilis Agouridas.

Dr. S. Ramadorai, Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director, Tata Consultancy Services, has been awarded a CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for his contribution to Indo-British economic relations. Last month he was conferred with the title “Professor of Business Services” by the Nyenrode Business Universiteit.
